Waterloo Architect Recognized for Service

Architect Recognized for Public Service in Waterloo


Waterloo, Iowa (April 8, 2015) – Edward Ottensen, AIA, a member of the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) has been recognized as a participant in the AIA Iowa Citizen Architect Program by AIA Iowa for service to the Waterloo area.


Ottensen, of Levi Architecture, was appointed as Chairman of the Waterloo Historic Preservation Commission, where he reviews request for improvements on locally designated districts and structures and works to add new districts and structures to the preservation list.


The Citizen Architect Program recognizes AIA Iowa members who represent AIA's values in their community through public service. To find out more about this program visit
