Terry Allers, FAIA Receives Highest Honor of AIA, Fellowship

Allers Named One of 115 Fellows of 2019

Des Moines, Iowa (March 7, 2019) – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has announced Terry Allers, FAIA, owner and architect of record for Allers Associates Architects, PC, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, as a recipient of Fellowship. AIA Fellows are recognized with the AIA’s highest membership honor for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. The prestige of FAIA after a recipient’s name is unparalleled and the judging is rigorous. Leslie will be honored at the 2019 AIA Conference on Architecture in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with other recipients from around the country.

A mentor at heart, Terry Allers, FAIA has advanced registration and licensing procedures, easing burdens on young professionals, aligning mentoring and education programs with workplace realities, and alleviating difficult regulatory barriers to ensure the public’s safety. Allers has served at numerous organizations including: Iowa Architectural Examining Board, Iowa Architectural Foundation, AIA Iowa, Fort Dodge Main St, Fort Dodge Housing Agency, National Architectural Accrediting Board and most recently as First Vice President/President Elect of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
