Sioux City Architect Elected to 2018 AIA Iowa Board

Sioux City, Iowa (January 8, 2018) – The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa), has elected Lisa Kalaher, AIA, of Sioux City as a Director of the AIA Iowa Board. Kalaher is an architect and community activist. She is an instigator of change and progress. In 2010 she co-founded PLaN Architecture, where she and her firm have received numerous recognitions in both design and community engagement. She has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s community-based culture. In addition to practice and volunteerism, Lisa has continued her entrepreneurial spirit and founded Mod House Interiors in Sioux City to help fill a much needed gap in modern furnishings. Lisa is committed to raising awareness of the merits of design in our communities and has fashioned a career to achieve that end.
