AIA Iowa Chapter Awards Scholarships to Iowa State University School of Design Students

Des Moines, IA – October 24, 2016 – The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 AIA Iowa / AIA National Diversity Scholarships, AIA National/AIA Iowa Merit Scholarships, Iowa Chapter AIA Scholarship and the William M. Dikis, FAIA Architecture Service Scholarships.
The following students at Iowa State University’s School of Design have been recognized for their outstanding dedication to the Architecture industry.
AIA Iowa / AIA National Diversity Scholarship: Each student will be awarded $1,000.00. Jessyka Colon and Kevin Larson are this year’s recipients.
AIA National/AIA Iowa Merit Scholarship: One award of $1000.00. Andrew Suiter is this year’s recipient.
Iowa Chapter AIA Scholarship: One award of $800.00. Nicole Becker is this year’s recipient.
William M. Dikis, FAIA Architecture Service Scholarship: One award of $1200. Evan Giles is this year’s recipient.
The award committee feels that these students show great promise as future architects. The recipients were honored at an awards ceremony on September 9, 2016 at Iowa State University where scholarships were presented by Mindy Aust, AIA, Board President of AIA Iowa.
