Architect Recognized for Public Service to the Glenwood area
Glenwood, Iowa (April 8, 2015) – Peter Franks, AIA, a member of the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) has been recognized as a participant in the AIA Iowa Citizen Architect Program by AIA Iowa for service to the Glenwood area.
Franks, of The Franks Design Group, PC, has been re-elected as a board member for East Mills Community School District Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for setting policy, overseeing the district's financial affairs, and setting goals and priorities to improve all students' educational experience in Eastern Mills County, including the communities of Malvern, Hastings, Emerson, and Henderson.
“The East Mills Board has been recognized for three consecutive years with the Iowa Association of School Boards Carolyn Johns Better Boardsmanship Award for consistently high levels of Board development training and ongoing attention to student achievement in setting goals, priorities, and policy. In partnership with our patrons and communities, The East Mills Community School District is committed to providing a range of opportunities and an excellent educational experience to all of our district's students.
