Architect Recognized for Public Service in the State Center Area


Des Moines, Iowa (April 30, 2013)Kerry Weig, AIA, a member of the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) has been recognized as a participant in the AIA Iowa Citizen Architect Program by AIA Iowa for service to the State Center area.


Weig, of INVISION Architecture, serves as a volunteer on the State Center Development Association.  This organization promotes the rehabilitation of buildings on the main street for re-sales to businesses and community members.  Currently, she is volunteering on the Wood’s Hospital Building on Main Street to provide architectural guidance in material selection that is respectful to the historic building, but also is as environmental as possible.
