Presenter Bio: Kim Bixler just published her latest book Growing Up in a Frank Lloyd Wright House. She is also featured in the recently released PBS documentary Frank Lloyd Wright's Boynton House: The Next Hundred Years. Kim Bixler has given over 30 presentations throughout the country since February 2013- many at Frank Lloyd Wright homes and buildings, architectural firms, libraries, galleries, and schools. Kim Bixler graduated from Cornell University in 1991.

Presentation Description: In her one hour multi-media presentation, Kim Bixler recounts the joys and pitfalls of owning and living in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home. Living with the public's curiosity, playing hide-and-seek, coping with the habitually leaky roof and managing constant renovations make this an unforgettable story. Kim Bixler's family owned Frank Lloyd Wright's 1908 Edward E. Boyton House in Rochester, NY, from 1977 to 1984. During its construction, the world-renowned architect was frequently on-site, supervising all details, including the design of the furniture (17 pieces still remain in the house).
