Dan Hughes will be presenting: BIM Execution Plans: Steps to Achieving Revit Level-Of-Development (LOD) Goals

This class provides a technical, instructional overview for creating Revit Component Family Models; that will achieve Level-Of-Development (LOD) goals for BIM Execution Plans. 

Learning Objectives:

  • List the 10 sequential steps for creating quality Revit family models for your Revit library and projects, set up Revit model components for various Levels-of-Development (LOD), and add shared parameters to monitor the contractual LOD
  • Utilize the Top 10 Standards Checklist for conducting Model Quality Assurance when creating or editing existing pre-built Revit family models, and identify Suggested Best Practices for embedding parameter data or extracting & publishing embedded data contained in Revit family models. 
  • Identify tested techniques for Performance-based Revit modeling that provide “lightweight” models (file size) with optimized visibility settings to improve Revit project performance. 
  • Identify BIM\VDC Manager cost-saving techniques and procedures for harvesting Revit families and standards from completed Revit projects. 

Central Sales, Inc. is registered with the American Institute of Architects' Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) and is committed to developing quality learning activities in accordance with AIA/CES criteria. This seminar meets the AIA/CES criteria for Health/Safety/Welfare (HSW). AIA Members will receive 1 Learning Unit HSW (LU HSW), which will be reported directly to the CES for them.
