Program Proposals

AIA Iowa welcomes your programming ideas and speaker recommendations for professional development seminars. If you have a program already developed for delivery and would like to submit a proposal, please send your suggestions and/or proposals to Amy Spike, Communications & Programming Coordinator for AIA Iowa at


Consider partnering with AIA Iowa, an AIA CES Approved Provider, we are organized to serve the needs of over 850 member interns and architects at the state and local level. As an AIA Component we support our members through many activities that offer AIA CES credit and provide excellent opportunities to collaborate with Allied Members, Educators, and other CES Providers. A total of 18 Continuing Education Hours (LUs) required annually, 12 LUs must address Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) annually.

AIA Iowa member transcripts can be found by visiting, log-on with your email address and password. Questions about your transcript? Contact AIA CES Member Care at 1-800-242-3837, Option 3 or Don't forget that you can self-report continuing education from a provider that is not AIA accredited. You can find instructions here.


State of Iowa Requirements

The State of Iowa has Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) requirements in conjunction with the biennial (every two years) license renewal cycle.
