Amy Spike Named Distinguished Association Staff Professional of the Year

Des Moines, IA – May 2, 2016 – The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) is pleased to announce that Amy Spike, Communication and Programming Coordinator for AIA Iowa, has been named the Distinguished Association Staff Professional of the Year by the Iowa Society of Association Executives (ISAE).

The Distinguished Association Staff Professional of the Year Award is bestowed upon a key association staff member in recognition of exceptional contributions to his or her employing association or association management company. It is one of ISAE’S most prestigious honors, reflecting extraordinary achievement and the promise of future accomplishment within the association management profession. The award further recognizes service to ISAE and other professional organizations, continuing professional development and participation in community and civic affairs. Spike was presented the award by ISAE President Heather Tamminga at the ISAE Annual Meeting on April 25, 2016.

“We are thrilled to have Amy be recognized for this award. Her contributions to our organization cannot be overstated and she is very deserving of this honor,” said Executive Director of AIA Iowa, Jessica Reinert, Hon. AIA Iowa, CAE, IOM.

Spike joined AIA Iowa in 2012. She is AIA Iowa’s link to communications and professional development. Her tasks include public relations, event planning and promotions, and administrating the AIA Iowa websites. In addition, she coordinates all continuing education programming.
