Architect Recognized for Public Service to the Fort Dodge area
Fort Dodge, Iowa (April 8, 2015) – Terry Allers, AIA, a member of the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) has been recognized as a participant in the AIA Iowa Citizen Architect Program by AIA Iowa for service to the Fort Dodge area.
Allers, of Allers Associates Architects, PC, is serving his second year on the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) as the Region 4 Director which covers a 9-state area. The Board grants certification to architects who have graduated from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited architectural school with a Bachelors of Architecture or a Masters of Architecture degree, have completed their Intern Development Program (IDP) internship, and have passed the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). The organization establishes the requirements for the IDP and ARE and promotes and supports the efforts of various committees to provide a relevant and engaging experience for both students and mentor volunteers. Allers is involved in the board meetings and is on several committees and task forces. He has participated in four NAAB accreditation visits to schools of architecture.
