Scholarships Awarded to Promising Future Architects

AIA Iowa Chapter Awards Scholarships to Iowa State University School of Design Students

 

Des Moines, IA (September 10, 2014) The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2014 AIA Iowa / AIA National Diversity Scholarships, AIA National/AIA Iowa Merit Scholarships, Iowa Chapter AIA Scholarship and the William M. Dikis, FAIA Architecture Service Scholarships. 

The following students at Iowa State University’s School of Design have been recognized for their outstanding dedication to the Architecture industry. 

AIA Iowa / AIA National Diversity Scholarship: Each student will be awarded $1,000.00. Zhahn Bose, Student Affiliate of AIA Iowa, and Anndrea Joiner are this year’s recipients.

AIA National/AIA Iowa Merit Scholarship: Each student will be awarded $500.00. Bobbi Jo Reiff, Student Affiliate of AIA Iowa, and Connor Yocum, Student Affiliate of AIA Iowa, are this year’s recipients.

Iowa Chapter AIA Scholarship: One award of $800.00. Nicole Brissette is this year’s recipient.

William M. Dikis, FAIA Architecture Service Scholarship: Each student will be awarded $600. Jill Maltby and Sarah Ward are this year’s recipients.

The award committee feels that these students show great promise as future architects. The recipients were honored at an awards ceremony on September 5, 2014 at Iowa State University where scholarships were presented by Nathan Kalaher, AIA, Board President of AIA Iowa.
