AIA Iowa Chapter
Des Moines, IA (January 28, 2013) The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) is pleased to announce the addition of newly appointed Communications and Programming Coordinator, Amy Spike. Spike will strengthen the mission of AIA Iowa by assisting to implement public relations, marketing and event coordination for the Chapter.
Amy Spike graduated from Central College with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Communication Studies. While attending Central, Spike held the position of Editor in Chief at the campus newspaper as well as Executive Board Member of Central’s Dance Marathon event supporting the Children’s Miracle Network. Most recently, Amy Spike comes to AIA Iowa from Global Spectrum, the venue management company that operates the Iowa Events Center, where she held the title of Marketing Coordinator and was responsible for marketing and public relations of high profile events that visit the complex. Spike possesses the passion, experience, organization and event management background to continue to move AIA Iowa forward and will be highly focused on communications, promotion and working closely on professional development opportunities for the membership.
